Sarah Shore Coaching & Training, LLC

Helping you make a positive impact in life and in business

POLICIES

Scheduling:  Coaching and other sessions are scheduled on an ongoing weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis for either 50 or 90 minutes.  When the timer set at the start of our session goes off, we have 5 minutes to wrap up our time for the week.  As much as possible, we aim to schedule sessions on the same day and time for consistency between sessions.

Fees:  My hourly fee ranges from $125 to $175 depending on the place and length of our session:

  • 50 Minute In Person, Phone, Skype = $125
  • 90 Minute In Person, Phone, Skype = $150

In addition to regular appointments, I charge for other professional services you may need, though I will break down the hourly cost if I work for periods of less than one hour. Other services may include report writing, extended telephone conversations, attendance at meetings with other professionals you have authorized, preparation of records when requested, and the time spent performing any other service you may request of me. If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for my professional time.

Payment:  Payment is due at the time of the session by cash, check or PayPal.  I will furnish you with a receipt of each session that you may use for tax or reimbursement purposes.  There is no direct billing with any insurance plan.  All regularly scheduled sessions are your financial responsibility.  You are expected to pay the fee at the time service is provided unless other arrangements have been made. Upon mutual agreement, payment can be made weekly or monthly. Please notify me if any problem arises during the course of our work together regarding your ability to make timely payments.  Not all issues/conditions/problems which are the focus of coaching are reimbursed by your insurance or employer or flexible spending account.

Cancellation:  I need 24 hours of notice during business hours in order to not charge you for your session.  If you know that you must miss a session, I will make reasonable efforts to reschedule sessions when cancelled in a timely manner. While I know that at times 24 hours advance notice is not possible, without this amount of notice you will be charged a missed session fee, regardless of the reasons for the cancellation.

Ending:  Either of us may end the coaching relationship. I would like to offer emotional support to all the phases of your work in coaching, including when you decide to leave.  I can support your decision to leave best if you give several weeks’ notice prior to actually leaving. The notice allows you to leave well, having an experience of completion.

Satisfaction:  If, at any time, you feel that your needs are not being met or you are not getting what you want out of our sessions, please tell me, so we can discuss your needs and adjust the work we are doing.

Confidentiality:  As a coach and therapist, I protect the confidentiality of our communications.  I will only release information about our work to others with your permission, or if I am required to do so legally.  I am required to report the following scenarios:  if I have information that a child, elderly or disabled person is being mistreated, and if there is an imminent risk that you may harm yourself or someone else. While these situations are rare, they are serious.  I will make efforts to discuss this with you before taking action.

Logistics: Sessions can occur in person, by phone or via Skype.  In addition to our regularly scheduled time, we will have less formal check-ins via email and/or phone as necessary. Skype and phone sessions are a convenient way to avoid last-minute cancellations for in-person sessions.

Extra Time:  Please call or email me between calls if you cannot wait to share a success, need advice, have a challenge, or just want to check in.  I consider this communication part of our work together.  I do not bill for this type of additional time.  I only request that you keep unscheduled calls to about 5 minutes because I am often in between sessions when I am returning calls.  I am often not immediately available by telephone. In addition to my private practice, I have other responsibilities at other locations. While I am usually working Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., I probably will not answer the phone when I am with a client. I monitor my voicemail system frequently. I will make every effort to return your call as soon as possible, and typically on the same or the following day, with the exception of weekends. In emergencies, you can attempt to contact me and leave a message.

Initial Coaching/Therapy Period:  I recommend that you commit to coaching for a minimum of 3 to 6 months.  The benefits of this work build over time.  In order to make this experience as valuable as possible, I encourage you to make this commitment to yourself.

Referrals:  Many of my clients have come to me by referral.  If our work together has enabled you to generate the results you want in your life, I ask that you please share your experience with others, and refer me to anyone you know who may be interested.
